I don't know how I got here; I thought I went the right way. I'm so deep into the woods, I can't see or hear the party!
How stupid of me to come out here by myself!
I think I might be lost...
What is that? That rustling in the bushes? Maybe a prankster party-goer?
...
'No, I don't think that's it'.
I try to turn back - to go down the path I came.
But now there's this creature - this thing. Paper white, skin taught; it looks like a moving corpse!
It ambles closer, hissing; jagged-toothed jaw agape.
About the Creator
Megan Baker (Left Vocal in 2023)
A fun spin on her last name, Baker enjoyed creating "Baker's Dozen" lists for various topics! She also wrote candidly about her mental health & a LOT of fiction. Discontinued writing on Vocal in 2023 as Vocal is a fruitless venture.
